MX Software and Technology

All of our designs are carried out to appropriate standards using specialist state-of-the-art technology, including Infrasoft's MX range of 3D modeling software (MOSS) for civil engineers, and AutoCAD.

With extensive use of ultra fast broadband internet access, we are able to work remotely from Clients based anywhere in the country or overseas. For the exchange of information and de-briefing as well as for project updates and handovers, meetings are normally held at Clients offices in the UK, or alternatively by NetMeeting or similar on the web, for Clients further away.

Ongoing project information and details are exchanged by e-mail, or sent on CD Rom by courier. Furthermore working remotely on designs is facilitated by the fact that the MX family of civil engineering design software packages are enabled with the Arenium collaborative engineering solution.

Arenium is a technology to enable true 3-D Design collaboration. All that is needed to allow engineers to work collaboratively on projects is a network connection - LAN, WAN or Internet. Engineers can design from opposite ends of the country, or from different countries, using unfamiliar codes and produce drawings using the same styles and conventions. Arenium offers strategic advantages because it allows collaboration from the inception of a project through the complete asset life cycle.

At HKE euro Consulting RSA extensive use is made of the following MX software:

• MX Professional Foundation (AutoCAD Environment)
  The power of three-dimensional surface modeling as used in MX is combined with the drawing capabilities of AutoCAD to give a complete system for the design of civil engineering projects and the production of the associated drawings.
• MXChange
  MXCHANGE converts MX Drawing Files (DPW/DPF) to AutoCAD design files (.DWG) and visa versa. MX Change runs from within AutoCAD and has its own menu entry on the AutoCAD menu bar.
• MXUrban
  MXURBAN provides all the functionality for resurfacing and reconstruction of roadways within the restrictions imposed by the urban environment.
• MXDraw
  MXDRAW is used to produce final drawings from design drawings in a rapid and efficient manner. You can create layouts for plans, profiles, composite plans and profiles, and cross sections. In addition, because the final drawings are created using views of the design drawings, any changes you make to the design are automatically reflected in the final drawings so that they are always up-to-date and ready to plot.
